Help you choose a color palette to work with  Sometimes you have the luxury of starting from scratch  when choosing a decorating scheme. If this is the case, the designer will work with you to determine colors that you enjoy, colors that appeal to you, colors that reflect your lifestyle. Other times there will be a focal point in a room  an heirloom or favorite piece of furniture; a painting; a piece of art  that you will want to work with in developing a dÈcor. Still other situations require working with things that are already in place until the time comes when that item (often something you have to live with  like a huge expanse of carpeting) can be replaced. In this instance a designer will help you phase in a whole new color scheme over time. Help you choose furniture that is in scale with your room size  It s important that the furniture you select fits into the room you are decorating. Something too large will overpower a room. Furnishings that are too small will look lost. Hendrixson s designers will help you determine how furniture will fit in the space you have available.
